Buona Gift Card Contest 

Official Rules

Welcome to the Buona Restaurant $500 Gift Card Contest! We are excited to announce this special event, giving you a chance to win a $500 gift card to use at any Buona Restaurant location in Illinois and Indiana. 

This contest is a random drawing, and while a purchase is not required to enter, making a purchase on November 15, 2023 at the Buona Beef restaurant location in Kildeer, IL, will increase your chances of winning due to the additional entries you can earn by scanning your app during a purchase. 

Simply follow the steps outlined in the Official Rules below for your chance to win. We wish you the best of luck, and thank you for your continued support of Buona! 

1. Eligibility: The Buona $500 Gift Card Contest (“Contest”) is open to legal residents of Illinois and Indiana, who are 13 years of age or older at the time of entry. Minors over the age of 13 must obtain permission from their parent or legal guardian to enter. Employees of Buona Beef LLC and Rainbow Cone LLC and their immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their respective spouses) are not eligible to participate in the Contest. 
2. Contest Period: The Contest begins on the date the Contest is announced on the Buona.com website on November 1, 2023 and ends at 11:59 PM Central Time (CT) on November 15, 2023. 
3. How to Enter: To participate in the Contest, entrants must download the Buona mobile app, sign up, and select “Kildeer” as their favorite location by 11:59 pm Central Time (CT) on November 15, 2023. This will grant the entrant one (1) entry into the Contest. Limit one (1) entry in this manner per eligible entrant. 
4. Bonus Entries: Participants can earn five (5) additional entries by scanning their Buona mobile app during a purchase that occurs in-person at the Buona Beef restaurant location in Kildeer, IL on November 15, 2023. The bonus entries are limited to one set of five (5) per eligible participant. 
5. Taxes. The value of any price awarded by Buona as a result of the Contest may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. All applicable local, state, federal or other taxes of any kind are the sole responsibility of the prize winner and Buona shall not be responsible for payment of any taxes based on the value of the prize awarded as a result of this Contest. The winner is solely responsible for the payment of any expenses associated with the receipt or use of any prize awarded by Buona which are not specifically identified as the responsibility of Buona in these Official Rules.  
6. General Liability Release/Force Majeure: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Buona Beef LLC, its parent, affiliates, subsidiaries, and their respective agents, representatives, officers, directors, managers and employees from any and all liability, loss, damage, claim, or cause of action, including, but not limited to, injury, death, or damages arising out of or in connection with the entrant’s participation in the Contest, or the acceptance, possession, use or misuse of any prize or any other promotion-related activity. Buona reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to modify, suspend, or terminate the Contest in the event that it becomes impossible to administer due to circumstances beyond its control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, civil unrest, labor disputes, natural disasters, endemic or pandemic or any other force majeure event. Buona is not responsible for any mechanical, technical, electronics, computer, hardware or software errors, malfunctions or failures of any kind which may impact the administration or conduct of the Contest, including: failed, incomplete, garbled or delayed transmission of any entry, congestion or traffic which may result in lost or unavailable network connections which may limit or delay an entrant’s ability to participate in the Contest. Buona is not responsible for any injury or damage to an entrant or other person’s computer, tablet or smart phone device related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in the Contest, including viruses. Buona is not responsible for viruses, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes which would impact the security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Contest and Buona reserves the right to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Contest based on such occurrences. Upon the cancellation or termination of the Contest, Buona and all participants shall have no further responsibility or liability toward one another.
7.  Winner Selection: A random drawing will take place on or before November 30, 2023, and the winner will be notified via the email address provided during the registration process within ten (10) calendar days of the drawing. The winner must respond to the notification within seven (7) calendar days to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within the specified time frame, a new winner will be drawn from the remaining eligible entries. Buona Beef LLC is not responsible for any winner notification that goes missing, is intercepted, or fails to be received by a potential winner for any reason. If a potential winner does not respond within the time frame specified in the prize notification, despite reasonable attempts to contact them, or if the prize or prize notification is returned as unclaimed or undeliverable, the potential winner will forfeit the prize, and an alternate winner may be chosen. 
8. Prize: The winner will receive a $500 Buona restaurant gift card, which can be used for purchases at any Buona restaurant locations in Illinois or Indiana. The gift card has no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash. The gift card is subject to the terms and conditions of the issuer. Many will enter, but only one (1) prize is available. The potential winner may be required to fill out and return a Declaration of Eligibility, a Release of Liability, and, where legally allowed, a Consent to Publicity (collectively, “Winner Documentation”). If the winner is below the age of majority in their place of residence (a “minor”), Buona has the option to either award the prize to the minor’s parent or legal guardian or require the parent or legal guardian to acknowledge and sign the Winner Documentation on behalf of the minor. If any potential winner (or, for a minor, the minor’s parent or legal guardian) does not sign and submit all required Winner Documentation within the timeframe specified in the prize notification, the winner may be disqualified, and an alternate winner may be selected. 
9. Tampering and Disputes: Tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification. Any entries or actions that, in the sole discretion of Buona, appear to be fraudulent, generated by a script, macro, bot, or any other automated means, or intended to undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest will be void. In the event of any dispute regarding the identity of an entrant, the authorized account holder of the email address used to register will be deemed the entrant. Buona reserves the right to require proof of identity, such as a copy of the entrant’s driver’s license, and shipping information before awarding any prize. 
10. Prize Shipment: Once the winner is confirmed and has provided the required information, Buona will ship the $500 gift card prize to the address provided by the winner. A tracking number will be provided to the winner for their reference. Buona is not responsible for any delays in shipment, or for a missing, undelivered or misdelivered package. 
11. Governing Law/Jurisdiction: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these Official Rules or the rights and obligations of entrants or Buona in connection with the Contest shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Illinois without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules or provisions that would cause the application of any other state’s laws. 
12. Arbitration Provision: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree that any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to the Contest, these Official Rules, or the breach, termination, enforcement, interpretation, or validity thereof, including the determination of the scope or applicability of this agreement to arbitrate, shall be determined by arbitration in the State of Illinois, before a single arbitrator. The arbitration shall be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) in accordance with its Commercial Arbitration Rules and the Supplementary Procedures for Consumer-Related Disputes (the “AAA Rules”) then in effect, except as modified by this Arbitration Provision. The AAA Rules are available at www.adr.org or by calling the AAA at 1-800-778-7879. Judgment on the award rendered by the arbitrator may be entered in any court having jurisdiction thereof. This Arbitration Provision shall not preclude the parties from seeking provisional remedies in aid of arbitration from a court of appropriate jurisdiction. The arbitrator shall, in the award, allocate all or part of the costs of the arbitration, including the fees of the arbitrator and the reasonable attorneys’ fees of the prevailing party, as the arbitrator deems appropriate. Entrants agree that any arbitration shall be limited to the dispute between the entrant and Buona Beef LLC. To the full extent permitted by law, (a) no arbitration shall be joined with any other proceeding; (b) there shall be no right or authority for any dispute to be arbitrated on a class-action basis or to utilize class action procedures; and (c) there shall be no right or authority for any dispute to be brought in a purported representative capacity on behalf of the general public or any other persons. In no event, shall Buona be liable for punitive, incidental or consequential damages, including reasonable attorney’s fees, other than participant’s actual out of pocket expenses.  
13. Miscellaneous: By participating in the Contest, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of Buona, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Contest. Entrants also agree to abide by all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
